From unspoilt walks in the Wolds to fun filled days by the beach at Cleethorpes there is something for everybody to enjoy.

Why not visit one of the historical towns nearby or one of the many visitor attractions like the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Center.

NIGHTS OUT


Grimsby and Cleethorpes is the place to be for a fun filled night on the town.  You will be spoilt for choice for bars and restaurants.  For a more relaxed evening take in one of the shows at Grimsby Auditorium or The Baths Hall at Scunthorpe

With unspoiled countryside, great footpaths and bridleways the wolds is a fantastic place for walking, cycling and riding.

Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival is coming soon 21st May to 5th June http://www.woldswalkingfestival.co.uk

Here are a few of the many walks available in the area.

The Viking Way – stretching 147 miles the route starts on the banks of the River Humber and takes in some of the best walking in Lincolnshire.  Taking you all the way South to Rutland Water.

Silver Lincs Way – A 25 mile walk linking the two towns of Grimsby and Louth following pathways over the Eastern Wolds.

Lincs Wolds Way – A 76 mile circular walk that takes in the best of the wolds.  Starting and ending in the market town of Louth its is broken into  5 stages, walking 6 hours per day.

Cycling – The wolds is a great cycling route with plenty of circular routes for all abilities

Equestrian – Quiet lanes and bridleways for a fantastic ride.  Why not book a riding lesson at one of the excellent schools in the area

Just a 25 minute drive from Stallingborough Grange Hotel is the majestic Humber Bridge.  Opened in 1981 it was designed to cross the last unbridged estuary in Britain.

MARKET TOWNS


In the county of Lincolnshire we have some lovely market towns.  Only a short drive from Stallingborough Grange they are all within easy reach.  Visit on market day and maybe stop off in one of the local pubs for lunch or one of the many coffee shops they offer.

Caistor


Only a 10 minute drive Caistor is a small Georgian market town set on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds.  First mentioned in the Domesday book in 1086 as ‘Castre’ and also in the Danelow Charters and Pipe Rolls of 1197 – 1198.  A small market is available every Saturday morning in the centre.  Several pubs offer local beers and meals and the delightful Arts and Heritage Centre offers a historic look into Caistor and surrounding areas along with a delightful coffee shop.

Brigg


Sat on the River Ancholme is the buzzing market town on Brigg.  Dating back to the 11th Century.

Louth


Just a 20 minute drive into the rolling Lincolshire Wolds is the lovely Georgian town of Louth.  Over looked by the majestic steeple of St. James church.  With its many shops and market it is well worth a visit.  Market days are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with a Farmers market every 4th Wednesday of the month.  Why not visit near by Hubbards Hills, great for the children or a leisurely walk.  Cadwell Park is only a short drive from Louth for the excitement of the racetrack.

CLEETHORPES COAST LIGHT RAILWAY

The Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway is a 15 in railway built in 1948 in Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire operating between Cleethorpes Leisure Centre and behind Pleasure Island Family Theme Park and the Buck Beck estuary.
